Now that our beautiful Black Bear neighbors are out of hibernation, we've been seeing many of them wandering around. Did you know... They have a mostly plant based diet They are solitary animals, with the exception of cubs who stay around their mothers for about 2 years while they learn to hunt and survive ... They're fast- they can run up to 30mph! Have you spotted a black bear this season? Any other mountain creature sightings? Share with us below!

On Saturday August 29th, one of our beloved drivers, Jenne Moses, lost her home in the Crestline fire on Zurich Drive. Thankfully, her family is safe, but in a matter of minutes, they lost everything they owned. Before the fire, the Moses family was already reeling from a motorcycle accident that tragically claimed the life of Jenne’s son-in-law. Jenne’s daughter, Meadow, burned her feet after running inside the still burning home to rescue the 9-week-old puppy she had adopte...d to help her son, Tommy, cope with the loss of his father. The puppy, Toby, is doing well after spending some time at the vet. For the last five years, Jenne has been an excellent driver for Mountain Transit - San Bernardino Mountains, and is always willing to help others. She even makes a point of telling her supervisors how much she appreciates her job and is happy to work extra shifts. She is well-known (and extremely well-liked) in our mountain community and has received several customer service commendations. We spoke to Jenne on Saturday, only a few hours after the fire. She was grateful that her family had made it safely out but remains completely devasted and at a loss for how to move forward. Fortunately, they have family in the area that they can stay with until they can figure out next step. To ease the financial burden on Jenne and her family, a GoFundMe page has been created: https://gf.me/u/yvbxn6 If you are unable to donate at this time, sharing this link is also helpful to spread the word that the Moses family is in need. Your prayers are also appreciated.
