Single Adults -- Don't miss out on this terrific conference!!

Pleasanton, California, LDS Stake 30.06.2021

Today a National Day of Prayer ceremony was held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Fifteen different congregations and religions were present to offer a devotional and prayer for God to bless us and the entire world. It was a very moving experience and one that helped all of us to better understand our common roots and helped us to build bridges of understanding. Pres. Black was one of the participants and gave a wonderful message and prayer. Our missionaries served as ushers and directed traffic. It was wonderful to see some of the elders and sisters speaking Chinese to members of that congregation. Thank you Supervisor Haubert for putting this together.

Join Us for 2021 National Day of Prayer Alameda County Supervisor, District 1, David Haubert, is hosting the 2021 National Day of Prayer on May 6, 2021, at 12 PM. The theme for the event is Just Pray. The event will be held in person at the Alameda County Fairgrounds outdoor amphitheater and broadcast over Zoom and Facebook Live. The goal of this event is to highlight the cooperation and collaboration between church and state, recognizing that in America, Freedom of relig...ion allows us all to pray in our own way, said Supervisor David Haubert. This event is a great way to bring people of all different backgrounds together, especially during the difficult times we are experiencing due to the Covid19 pandemic. I am hopeful this year is our recovery year. We have never needed Prayer as much as these times with the pandemic and a hopeful recovery, Supervisor Haubert said. Church leaders from Cornerstone Fellowship, Harbor Light, Livermore Gurdwara, Glad Tidings Chruch, Meet a Muslim, Coptic Church, The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Forerunner Christian Church, Hindu American Foundation, Fa Yun Chan Temple, St. Raymond’s Catholic Church, Tri-Valley Sikh Center and Chabad of the Tri-Valley will be giving a Devotional. Elected officials will be presenting opening comments. I have chosen these church leaders to demonstrate the religious diversity that makes our Nation, so great Supervisor Haubert explains. Space is limited for in-person; RSVP by May 3 to [email protected]. This event will be located at the Alameda County Fairgrounds Amphitheater, 4501 Pleasanton Ave. Pleasanton, CA, 94566 or will be broadcasted on Zoom and Facebook Live; Supervisors Haubert Facebook is, https://www.facebook.com/DavidHaubertCA. National Day of Prayer is a tradition that predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’s proclamation in 1755, setting aside a Day of Prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of Prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May. The Primaries of the Pleasanton Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints invite ALL (not just Primary families) to celebrate Easter by visiting a drive thru easter egg hunt and holy week celebration on Saturday March 27th, in the parking lot of the Pleasanton Stake Center, 6100 Paseo SantaCruz, Pleasanton. All faiths, ages, friends, families and the community are welcome to safely drive thru an egg hunt of over 100 large eggs lovingly decorated by primary chil...dren and families from the Pleasanton and Dublin area. Continue in an immersive journey as vehicles drive thru depictions of the final days of Jesus Christ's ministry on the earth through murals, art, video, scripture and song. The hunt and presentation is open to the public during the hours of 10-6pm and is free. Volunteers will also be on site to collect donations of new or gently used puzzles, books and board games to benefit "balanceboxes" -- a local non-profit organization providing academic and enrichment resources to underserved children. Participants attending should remain in their vehicles and practice safe social distancing protocols. This is a drive thru, NOT a walk thru activity. Please be respectful and kind while visiting. We hope you and your family will find enjoyment, peace and fun this Easter while engaging in this safe, uplifting and "egg-citing" experience! See more

Today we had the chance to take a virtual tour of the Mormon Battalion Historic Site in San Diego Elder and Sister Witham were our tour guides. It was fabulous. The church has 14 historical sites that you can take virtual tours of guided by Sister Missionaries. I would highly recommend them. The link below will take you to the site that lists the sites available and the link to their registration sites. Enjoy. https://www.ldsliving.com/These-Church-historic-sit/s/93249

Hey everyone! This song goes back a couple hundred years ago on the shores of Galilee, where Christ asked Peter, "Peter, do ye love me?" If you're familiar wi...th this scripture story, you know that to "Feed His Sheep" is to share the Gospel and help others come to know who Christ is. There's nothing more that our loving Heavenly Parents want than for us to return back to them . THAT'S why Christ tells Peter to "Feed His Sheep". We hope we can do a good job at portraying some of the emotions felt years ago on the other side of the world on those same shores. His Gospel is real, His Gospel is true, and through his Gospel, we are promised that if we live it, we will have joy even in these tough times. Hope you enjoy it! How do you show your love for Christ? John 21:15-17 ~ Elder Curnow, Sister Smith, and Sister Banner

"Primary leaders in the Stake have created a site for the Primary children to utilize while sheltering in Place. www.Pleasantonstakeprimary.com is a safe, fun, spiritually focused and uplifting place for children to visit and receive supportive fun while worshiping from home. The site is updated WEEKLY with new quizzes, games, printables, challenges, videos, and singing time sessions that coordinate with Come Follow Me lessons! We strive to keep everything contained church approved and new material is added frequently (at least every Tuesday!) We hope this will continue to be an enjoyable place for families and kids to help them in their home-centered learning and especially on the Sabbath. So, if you haven't been by in a while, need some refreshing ideas for CFM, or are just a kid at heart check it out!
