Yesterday morning The Grateful Bean Coffee Shop greeted PV teachers outside with a wonderful surprise of appreciation. They set up and offered fresh, delicious ...coffees and teas for teachers as they walked in. They served everything to say that they appreciate the teachers. What a kindness!! Hello members and friends of PVHS music department, Tomorrow begins the 2020-2021 school year. And what a bizarre year it looks to be. No in-person rehear...sals? No Marching? No singing? No Band Camp? No Heimlich? No Wolfe? It may seem like we are missing all the things that made this program amazing. But I promise you that our program is STILL amazing and this year will bring great things. We will still learn great music and practice our musicianship. We will connect with good friends and welcome new members into our family. And when that long-awaited day comes when we can once again gather in the CFA and play and sing together, it will be all the sweeter for the time spent apart. To the Class of 2024, Welcome to the Viking Family!! We are so excited to be welcoming you to Pleasant Valley High School. Pleasant Valley High School is such a unique place steeped in tradition and academic excellence. I am sure that you will find your experience here is going to be amazing. I know coming in as a Freshmen can be overwhelming and a bit scary particularly in a year like this where we will be starting out in an online format. Staying connected is going to need ...to be a primary goal of yours. You can stay connected by keeping communication with your teachers each week and by frequently checking your Freshmen Google Classroom. Even though we are starting the year online we will still have virtual/in-person activities that you can participate in. I want all of you to know that we will take great care of you and make you feel welcome. Believe it or not, your time here is short. It may not seem that way now, but as many great people have said in the past, the days go by slow and the years go by fast. Before you know it you will be in your Senior year wondering where the time went. Make sure you take advantage of every opportunity you have here to get involved. I promise you it will be worth it and very rewarding. The Circle is our motto: Commitment, Integrity, Respect, Champions, Learning, and Excellence!
