Playzeum: A Museum Without Walls

PlayZeum Makes News! Thumbs up to PlayZeum, a Fresno nonprofit children’s museum without walls, for providing free activities for children 2-8 years old at Storyland in Fresno’s Roeding Park. Activities include Innovation Playground’s Big Blue Blocks, PVC piping, magnetic tree building, Tessellation Magnets and more. The PlayZeum is free with paid admission to Storyland. GIVE THEM PLENTY OF PLAY TIME The primary responsibility of a kid is or at least, should be to play. Yes, the kid will eventually have homework, extracurricular stuff, and so on; but from toddler to adolescence, they should be given the freedom just to have fun. Peter Gray, a child psychologist and professor at Boston College, states Children learn the most important lessons in life from other children, not from adultsthey cannot learn, or are much are much less likely... to learn, in interactions with adults. PlayZeum Museum without Walls is on the move. We've been to Fresno and Kingsburg. This month we are on our way to Madera. Thank you Madera Unified for helping us bring PlayZeum to Madera kids!
