Hello Playakidz family and friends, By God's grace we have made it another week! Hugs, hugs, and more virtual hugs. Our Bible lesson will continue to focus on friendship this week and even though we can't be together here is some ways we can practice what we learned: pray for each other, send a surprise craft/letter, chalk each other's driveway with sweet messages or pictures, paint kindness rocks and hide them in each other's yard, and leave encouraging messages in your ...windows for friends to see as they drive by. This week we will conclude our lesson with David and Jonathan. The passage is the sad end to David and Jonathan’s time together. Their friendship developed in the most trying of circumstances, but they reaffirmed their commitment to each other and to each other’s descendants. Our hope is that you can use this lesson to help your children understand that because of God’s love and the love we have for others, we still care about friends and family even when we’re apart. Please pray for our long-time friend and more recently our neighbor Paul Hunter. We like to keep an eye on him as he is also a brother in Christ. Paul has spent a lifetime at University Christian Church, Los Angeles where both Terry and Perry used to minister. Both the Fuller’s and the Sweany’s visit him often. His care-taker says this is the time to visit for anyone who cares to do so - Covid notwithstanding.

Greeting all Playakids Parents, This week (in lesson packet sent out via email) we will continue to explore the idea of friendship. Your child will learn that friends care for and stick up for each other. They will learn how Jonathan stuck by David. Children often have a difficult time understanding how vital loyalty is to friendships. They tend to switch sides of an argument based on who’s winning. This lesson will help children see that God’s love enables them to be l...oyal friends and that true friendship means sticking together even when it would be easier to give up or change sides. We will focus on these four main points: -Children will learn that friends stick by each other in hard times -Recognize times they have stuck by friends or have cared for them -Learn what it means to be loyal to a friend -Understand the difference between physically sticking to someone and sticking up for a friend. We will continue to focus on the verse: A friend is always loyal (Proverbs 17:17a). A fun family activity to help make the lesson point more relatable is to make s’mores with your family. Point out that once the marshmallow sticks to the chocolate, it can’t be separated. Explain that friends need to stick together, too. We continue to hold you and your family in our prayers.
