Medicine for our times Liver support tincture to give our liver a boost while it works overtime to get rid of all the particulate matter, carbon monoxide, and volatile chemicals we are inhaling from burning vegetation, building materials, and other materials present in these wildfires. ... The most common symptoms of inhalation of wildfire smoke are brain fog, tiredness/low energy/fatigue, headaches, and/or poor sleep. This is due to our liver not being able to keep up with the toxins present in our systems allowing those toxins to impact our body. This tincture contains artichoke leaf, cleavers, plantain, and lemon balm. Artichoke leaf is one of the best liver support herbs out there. It contains phytonutrients and flavonoids that help increase bile production, secretion, and discharge of bile from our body. Bile is the green gunky stuff produced by the liver that carries toxins out of the body through our waste. Artichoke leaf also helps restores damage to the liver and protects the liver from future damages. It helps with nausea and is purifying and detoxing. Cleavers enhances the function of the lymphatic system and improves its ability to flush out toxins, decrease congestion, and reduce swelling. Our lymphatic system is what helps us fight off infections and bacteria by producing white blood cells maintaining fluid levels in our body (keeping our mucous membranes moist). Often times when our body is working overtime in one area, our immune system may take a hit. So a little immune boosting support it always appreciated especially during covid times. Plantain leaves are rich in mucilage, which help moisten and coat the airways with a protective layer which reduces the irritation that causes dry cough. Smoke inhalation can cause drying out of our nasal passageways and throat. The mucous membranes in our nose and throat contain lympathetic fluid filled with white blood cells which help fight infection. Theses membranes are our first line of defense against bacteria and viruses. When these passageways are dried out, we’re more susceptible to getting sick. (Cont’d below)
