L-R: Pittsburg’s very own artist extraordinaire, Dr. Ron McDowell, Willie Moffitt and Pastor Williams. Dr. McDowell will be collaborating with Mr. Willie and a local community group to install a historical mural. Dr. McDowell has made a commitment to leave an artistic legacy right here in his hometown. We’ll be looking forward to that.

DOD YOU KNOW? That C.A. Hooper, the literal father of Pittsburg, established a nursery near the old Cornwall Station (Present Day Train Overpass) where trees of eucalyptus, pine, fir and various shrubs were grown and distributed to parts of the town.
