From the Tenant's Union: "Every single tenant who came in for counseling this morning had received a buyout offer!! Remember: 1) buyouts are almost never worth it. 2) Make sure your landlord has filed the proper form at the Rent Board BEFORE they even mention buyouts. 3) You are not required to engage in discussions. 4) Talk to us NOT A LAWYER - lawyers have a financial incentive to talk you into a buyout!!!" Also COME to the fundraiser tomorrow at Gray Area!
