The value of a $5 espresso drink supplies 3 sanitary workers a month’s supply of Chemical Resistant Nitrile Gloves The equivalent of a $25 takeout meal funds PPP for healthcare workers for a week. Your $100 gift helps to create 166 homemade masks for Jagna residents and provides someone $33 of income. Our first shipment of PHILOS PPP has arrived making it safer for Philos nurses and midwives to see patients in the Rural Health Unit, which is a primary care clinic. Philos has provided gloves for garbage collectors who up until now have been working barehanded! The law in the Philippines requires that everyone wear a mask when outdoors. People do so because there is a stiff penalty. Some folks just hold their t-shirt over their face; others borrow one from a family member or somehow improvise. Funding our mask-making project will provide income to locals, slow the spread of the virus, and support vulnerable individuals who lack the resources to procure a mask.
