https://www.thefloathousepetaluma.org//t3d0wfz9drvqzneyywc Summer camps on the river, taught by experts in their sports, are open now to kids 11-18. We also have "advanced sailing afternoons" available, for kids of any age (i.e. also adults), in case you'd like to brush up on your skills!
Piling by piling, dock by dock, rack by rack, we are building Petaluma River access for ALL!
Thanks to river users like River Town Racers and North Bay Rowing Club, as well as He'e Na'lu, two out of three racks are in!
Step by step, we are bringing boat rentals to downtown Petaluma! Saturday 4/10/21, starting right after lunch, volunteers will carry two big boat racks from our warehouse, across the gravel lot on Weller Street, down the ramp by the River House, around the wooden docks, and onto The Floathouse dock, attaching them to the T bolts that were secured from below, by SCUBA divers, on Thursday afternoon. Woo hoo! Come watch from Ayawaska, River Front Cafe, Grand Central Cafe, or TAPS on the basin side!
That's right, folks. One step closer to reality!
While catching our breath today, we'd like to share with you the youtube channel for Petaluma Riverside Chats. The subjects range from conversations with biologists to chats with Olympians. Take a look at these cached videos and learn more about our amazing river, people around the country and the world who make waterways part of their lives!
We'd like to give a big shout out to a local (Stockton) nonprofit, the Delta Sculling Center, which runs an incredible program, Girls Row Stockton. Here's a happy post pointing out that staying flexible is key. Whether we're working with COVID or winter weather, we need to find our water time when we can.

Eli tells us how we can make Petaluma the wet and wonderful capital of the universe.... By building a beacon of boating in the basin! #TheFloathousePetaluma
We've been working hard for more than a decade to bring a boat rental center to downtown Petaluma. TAPS owner Eric Lafranchi tells us how he sees a future with The Floathouse operating in the turning basin.
So many people in our community have begun Facebook fundraisers for The Floathouse Petaluma. Thank you all! Remember, there's still time to donate! Let's secure river access for everyone in 2021!
This is an amazing possibility: SUP yoga in the turning basin! Help make it happen. Donate today for your 2020 tax deduction! https://www.thefloathousepetaluma.org/donate
