Join Pastor Alan for Reflection from Montgomery on Jesus and Justice from 12noon to 1pm on Zoom. Pastor Alan pastored and ministered in Montgomery for almost 20 years. Every year on MLK, Jr. Day, there is a gospel-oriented church service at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, the church that Dr. King pastored in the 1950s to discuss his legacy and leadership. We will have a time of reflection on King’s Letter From Birmingham Jail and the sermon he gave at the Holt Street Baptist Church at the beginning of the Montgomery Bus Boycott in December, 1955. Some background will be given along with Scripture and considerations on how the lessons of the past can be applied to today. See email for Zoom information
