Calling all teachers and parents! As you get ready for the weekend, do you have all your lessons ready to go next week? If not, we've got you covered! Betwe...en our PORTS Home Learning Programs and our PORTS On-Demand Programs, California State Parks has fun and educational programming for K-12 students! So, what’s the difference between the two program styles? So happy you asked! . PORTS Home Learning Programs (next week’s schedule above!) are offered in a webinar format on Zoom that allows students and families to safely tune in from wherever they are for a virtual field trip to one of our parks. These programs can complement topics you’re covering in class or offer a great way to get your students active (Check out Junior Bear Yoga and P.E. at Hearst Castle!). These programs are offered at set times every week and can be great resources for homeschool families or Covid Pods. . PORTS On-Demand Programs are offered to teachers and their classes to go on an interactive virtual field trip together. On-Demand Programs can be offered on a variety of platforms including Zoom, Skype, and Google Classroom. Teachers can work with the presenters ahead of time if they have any special requests for their class. These programs can be booked for a day and time that works best for the class’ schedule. Students can interact directly with the State Parks Interpreter and they are encouraged to ask questions and reflect on what they’re learning throughout the program. . Ready to book one of our PORTS Programs?! Head over to www.ports-ca.us (link in bio) to reserve your spot in a PORTS Home Learning Program or schedule an On-Demand Program for your class today! . . . #PORTSfan #CAStateParks #distancelearning #homelearning #homeschooling #homeschool #googleclassroom #remoteclassroom #remotelearning #siplearning #covidlearning #covidpod #virtualfieldtrip #science #scienceteacher #california #history #historyteacher #science #scienceteacher #education #teachersofinstagram #K12 #educationalprogramming #teachingresources #PORTSfan #CAStateParks See more

We are missing seeing everyone at Fandango this year due to the cancelation but look forward to seeing you in 2021. Until then, enjoy this clip from 2019. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkI05J4MSJM
Have a great Labor Day. A big shout out to our maintenance department, rangers, curators, interpreters, park aides, volunteers and the rest of the staff who keep our park looking great and share the history of the Petaluma Adobe with visitors.
We unfortunately announce the cancellation of the 2020 Fandango at Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our guests, performers and volunteers remain at the forefront of this decision. We will miss celebrating the harvest season and dancing with you. Thanks to our friends at Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation, you can still dance! Check out free dance lessons with Mrs. Purinton, one of our Fandango performers and instructors. https://www.sbthp.org/digitallessons
