New Year's eve is a time to reflect on the past year and look toward the upcoming the new year as a time for change. Just some things to consider this holiday season.

Looks like Santa has his health certificates in order for the reindeer and is cleared for take off (in case anyone thought Christmas might be canceled this year).

On this day, at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Great War ends. At 5 a.m. that morning, Germany, bereft of manpower and supplies and faced with imminent invasion, signed an armistice agreement with the Allies in a railroad car outside Compiegne, France. We are sharing this in memory of the past and support of all the current veterans.

We are not trying to diminish the loss of life, instead we are just trying to acknowledge some of the unsung heroes from 19 years ago.

While we wish everyone a safe and pleasant 4th of July, please take a moment to remember that fireworks can be dangerous to the community due to high fire risk and scary for our pets and livestock.
