Former Lake Balboa Pedalboats

Our last load of Kay Park Pedalboats leaving Lake Balboa and heading to Redondo Beach Marina. Thanks so much for all your support!

Our last day here and it’s s Beautiful Day! Come on down and say goodbye.

We apologize for the change in Pedalboats this last month. The City did not select us to continue running the Pedalboat concession. We are in the process of swapping our newer blue and white Kay Park Pedalboats to our Redondo Beach location and bringing the older yellow ones to the park where they may get auctioned after the change takes place.

Only 3 days left to rent a pedalboat from us. The transition starts right after President’s Day.

This Veterans Day all Veterans are free. Thanks for your service!

Lake Balboa's very own Huey, Dewey, and Louie stopped by @lakebalboapedalboats to rent a boat today! This trio (Greylag Goose, Canadian Goose, and Ross's Goose; from largest to smallest) can always be found together at #lakebalboapark While the Ross's Goose is known for intermixing with #birds of various species, they all seem to actively choose to bond together rather than with birds of their same feather. Found nearly everywhere the land meets the sea, Cormorants, like this Double-crested Cormorant may not appear the most attractive or graceful avian on land or in the air, but in their hunting grounds below the waves do they become as agile, patient, and swift as any of their more flamboyantly feathered fellow shorebirds. Here at #lakebalboa you can watch these typically solo pescatarian predators work together in flocks of 20 or more to corner and corral schools of bait fish against the surface, ripe for the plucking.
