AYSO Region 94 La Habra 26.03.2021

Good Evening Region 94 Families! We're looking for a few heroes to step up and coach some spring teams - emails have gone out in some key divisions, but we can use the help up and down. If you have any interest, post here, or reach out to friends and family that might be interested in a ~9 game season starting in the next few weeks, ending roughly in May. We will train you!... Have a great weekend! --Region 94 Staff

AYSO Region 94 La Habra 15.03.2021

Good Evening Region 94 Families! The City has graciously given us permission to proceed with social distanced practices at Imperial while further details are figured out in terms of team on team play. It's truly great news, and we expect to have permission to host games in the next few weeks. As such, we are beginning to take players off waitlist - you'll be notified by email when that happens, and then you'll need to go into your account and pay the registration fee before... your player can attend a practice. For Spring 2021, we've decided to set the price at $100/player (including the national player fee), which is a $20 discount from our normal Spring registration fee. Please see the linked webpage below for the general procedures in place for Spring 2021 and the health and safety guidelines currently in effect (we expect these to be relaxed further in the next week or so). Can't wait to see you on the fields! --Region 94 Staff https://www.ayso-region94.com/Default.aspx?tabid=959071

AYSO Region 94 La Habra 12.03.2021

Sorry everyone - the below email went out to all the registered families on Monday, but we should really make a point of posting here as well. See below, and we'll update by email and here going forward. -- Good evening Region 94 Families!... Just a brief update as to Spring 2021: We are close to getting field permits for Imperial Middle School, and once those are in place, we'll start taking players off waitlist and asking for payment (payment includes the player fee that's necessary for each player before they can practice or play under AYSO). In the interim, we are proceeding with team organization (formal formation will occur as the players exit waitlist), so you may be contacted by division coordinators regarding coaching and/or teams. Currently, 8U and below will play only at Imperial, 10U and up will be travel teams (within Area E). There are a number of guidelines we are required to adhere to in order to have a youth sports program under Covid. Most important: --Just like school - if your player is sick/has a fever, notify coach and keep them home. --Parents are not allowed to enter the fields for PRACTICES (drop off in parking lot). - Note: 6U will likely be run differently. --For GAMES, up to 2 family members are allowed at the spectator sidelines (only coaches in the player box). --Adults must wear masks while at the fields. Guidelines will change throughout the season, hopefully towards less restrictions. We'll update the main Spring 2021 page with the guidelines and remind you to read through them before paying. We haven't decided yet what the registration fees will be - we're working on keeping costs low while budgeting appropriately for uniforms. Thank you everyone for being so patient. We're excited to get the players on the fields ASAP! All our best, --Region 94 Staff

Hi everyone, Another pointer! If at all possible, use a current version of Chrome or Safari when registering - older browsers don't seem to work as well. ... We do most of our testing through a normal computer/laptop, but it all should work through a smart phone, it's just harder to find all the things that need to be filled/clicked before you're allowed to move to the next page. Persevere! -- Region 94

AYSO Region 94 La Habra 25.02.2021

Hi everyone, We'll be collecting pointers along the way, but here's one that seems to be catching parents out: When you register your player, you are required to upload a headshot as part of the registration process - it won't complete until you do.... This is easiest if you register using a smart phone - grab yer kid, put them against a light, solid color background in a well let area (outside against a wall is good), and take a picture with your phone, focusing mainly on their shoulders and head/face. When you're registering, on the top left there's a blank space with a circle/oval in it - click on that circle and the system will step you through selecting your recent headshot of your player to upload and crop to size. Once that's complete, you should be able to complete registration. If you prefer to register with a desktop, you'll have to figure out a way to get the headshot onto the computer you're using (email from your phone works), but the process is about the same. Hope that helps! -- Region 94

Hi Region 94 Players and Families! We'll be updating the website shortly to give everyone an update as to the outlook for any kind of soccer activity in 2020 (poor outlook, unfortunately) and in 2021 (we're setting everything up to take advantage of any relief we may have to get things rolling earliest January - training - and through to June - hopefully at least regional team v. team scrimmages, ideally competitive play). Please everyone, stay healthy, stay safe, wash hand...s, wear masks in public, and take care of yourself, your families, and all our friends in the community and elsewhere. --Region 94 Regional Board

Hi Region 94 Families! As noted in the link below, Orange County is off the watch list, and if we stay off that list for 15+ days in a row, there's a chance the schools in our local districts will open to on-campus classes. I know some schools are waiting an additional week (or more) to allow time to ramp up the on-campus classes. Separately, we are working with the City and will be reaching out to the school district to do whatever we can to start up our Fall soccer progra...m. The goal is to have practices start in September and, if everything goes well between now and then, to start games on Oct. 3. We'll keep you posted, here, at our website, and by email. Thanks everyone for doing such a great job at getting the new cases numbers down! https://www.nbclosangeles.com//orange-county-off-/2417360/

Just like Perseverance, AYSO Region 94 is currently in Safe Mode. We'll be providing more information on when we can open for practice and play by email to our registrants later this week/weekend. We will post condensed versions here, but best and quickest access is by registering (free and direct to waitlist for now). https://blogs.nasa.gov//mars-2020-perseverance-healthy-an/

ARG. ABC7 just announced that "AYSO has canceled the Fall season." THIS IS NOT TRUE FOR ALL AYSO REGIONS. The ABC7 announcement is for Area 10V regions ONLY - teams we do not play during the regular season. Region 94 (and the rest of Area E) is still in pause mode while Orange County comes up with revised guidance regarding youth sports within the county.... More soon. - Region 94 Admin

Hi everyone, new guidance all our families should be aware of, linked below. We are still working to have everything in place to go ahead with Fall in the event that we're allowed to go forward (and that it is safe for our players and families). NOTE that this guidance appears to apply to all youth sports, not just school sports, and not just soccer. https://sacramento.cbslocal.com//state-youth-sports-no-dr/

Dear Region 94 Families & Players: We hope this email finds you all healthy - our primary concern is always the safety of our players, their families, and our volunteers. As many of you know, registration for Fall 2020 is OPEN. All the AYSO Regions in SoCal are moving forward with the assumption that we will have a Fall Soccer season, in some form, and what we've heard from all AYSO top level admin is that as long as the state and cities/districts allow youth sports to be pra...Continue reading

News coming about both the Spring season (refunds) and the upcoming Fall season (registration opens this weekend) soon - stay tuned and check email. Until then, today is a big day! If you have a few minutes today, be sure to check out the (hopeful) launch! There are quite a few streams to watch online - the below is just one.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjb9FdVdX5I

AYSO Region 94 La Habra 16.08.2020

Dear Region 94 Families & Players: We hope this email finds you all well and we thank you for your patience in relation to Spring Play. At this time, based on Safer at Home directives into May, we do not believe a "Spring" Season will occur. We are evaluating a late Summer short program (starting in June) to get the players on the field (using the same teams/organization as is already in place for Spring - basically moving Spring to Summer). As we figure things out (along wit...h the rest of SoCal), we will be in touch. We are currently working with the AYSO National Office on the best options for our families, which includes crediting your Spring registration towards the Fall 2020 season or a streamlined refund process. We know that many of you are just as eager as we are to get back on the field, so please know that our all volunteer Region 94 Board is working diligently with AYSO and our local and regional authorities to make an informed decision on when we can get back out onto the field and play. Our hope is that we can still play in June with a compressed program (similar to All Stars). If you are in immediate need of a refund, please contact us at our Contact Form at https://www.ayso-region94.com/Default.aspx?tabid=863150 and we will process that refund in mid to late May, via the AYSO National Office Programs. The National Office is working on a credit card and/or bulk mailing refund process. Our FALL 2020 registration process will launch in the next week, so please monitor your e-mails and take a look at the Region website www.ayso-region94.com or www.ayso94.org. The Fall season will begin with PRACTICES in early August and the season for 14U and above will begin on August 22nd. The rest of the divisions will open shortly thereafter. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions. Thank you for your patience and being a valued member of Region 94! We will be in touch in the next couple of weeks. Be Safe @ home!
