Since we did the Prayer for the nation on the first Thursday of May, Pastor would like to continue to designate the first Thursday of each month to pray for our nation. When is the last time you complimented somebody? Not just their outer appearance but their heart? How about a compliment to someone you’re not that fond of? It’s too easy to focus on people’s weaknesses and shortcomings. Try genuinely complimenting someone daily. If you can’t think of one good thing about someone then pray for YOURSELF because to not have kindness and grace is a weakness in itself. Don’t complain about someone’s weakness, instead pray for them. That’s what ...love and grace looks like. Be like Christ! But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:22

Our spiritual maturity and development is connected to our submission and obedience. Is your spiritual growth developing? If it’s not, it’s time to evaluate what your submission and obedience is like. Ask the Holy Spirit to grace you with the strength to submit to him and obey his word. But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselve...s [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].
