It has been heartwarming to see our communities come together. Community partners have generously donated personal protective equipment, food, supplies, meals for staff, and many other important contributions. We are humbled and thankful for their generosity. We are asking for your support, too. The impact of the pandemic will continue into 2021 and your donation will be used to meet the critical needs of people with disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Please support our essential services. #WithAppreciation #PathPointCA

Our Simi Valley Discoveries team hosted a socially distanced drive-thru holiday event. Everyone pitched in to make this a fun event for the individuals we support. DSP Geneva decorated the front entrance and parking lot, while DSP Melanie organized a game where individuals picked a number and she punched out a cup in her Christmas tree for a prize. DSP Cathy put together goodies bags to hand out that included hot cocoa, candy canes, cookies, stickers and pencils. DSP Rob took... a poll and complied a playlist of favorite holiday songs to share. DSP/LatinX Specialist Ana and DSP Heidy created celebration party poppers with a treat inside to hand out as well. Every staff member made sure to have on their PPE and use long tongs to deliver any item to our individuals driving through the event. Finally, to honor the season of giving, Program Coordinator Erin organized a food and personal care item donation drive for the Samaritan Center. Individuals put their donation items in their trunk and we removed them during the event for a contact free drop-off. The event was a huge success filled so many smiles and some much-needed laughter among everyone who attended, including the staff. Happy Holidays! #PathPointVenturaCounty See more

Congratulations to Andy, Christine and Veronica on your graduation from PathPoint's Project SEARCH workplace immersion program at Pacifica Senior Living in Oxnard. It was a challenging year with on-site work rotations paused for the pandemic stay-at-home orders and transition to online instruction, followed by a safe return to the workplace with safety precautions. Through it all, you kept a great attitude and learned marketable job skills that will be valuable at your next ...work experience! Well done! With cases of COVID-19 at an all-time high in California, a reminder to take these preventative steps to keep you, your loved ones, and your community safe and healthy: Wear a mask. During science week, our cooking class created Candy Splash Sugar Bowls by pouring hot sugar syrup over water-filled balloons. After the shell cools and hardens, the balloon is carefully punctured to let the water slowly leak out. While I have many secret challenges, especially with being diagnosed late, I do have many positives about me! At the age of 7, I could put together a 1000 piece puzzle! I also have a very unique visual memory as well!! Currently, I am an advocate for people with autism, especially ones diagnosed later in their lives. I plan to speak and continue spreading awareness and understanding of what it’s like to be autistic and that it’s a good thing to be! " - Ashley See more
