Description: Under the supervision of the Manager of Programs, maintains the Pasadena Senior Center building and grounds in a clean and orderly condition and provides program set up/breakdown support. Must have an open schedule. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:... Room set up/breakdown for events, meetings and agency functions. Move furniture, supplies and equipment for program and agency needs. Clean and maintain outside grounds and building ledges, shuffleboard courts, patio and furniture. Regularly water plants inside and surrounding facility. Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. Monitor building security and safety during and after business hours. Sweep, vacuum, scrub, dust and polish floors, windows, walls and furniture. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Replenish sanitary supplies. Purchase, sorts, and deliver supplies and inventory. Maintain equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. May make minor maintenance repairs as required. May be responsible for opening or closing the facility. Assist Manager of Programs as requested. Other routine maintenance duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort. Ability to lift tables, chairs and other equipment as needed. Six months or more related experience.
