As we're celebrating Frankie Manning this month, this is a pic of Frankie and Erin Stevens at the Boogie-Barens Whitsun Swing Camp in the 1990s, in Germany. No 'social distancing' going on back then...and SO much energy and fun!

Today is our mom’s (Monza Stevens) 94th birthday!

The amazing thing to me was how well Erin and Frankie always danced together without practice or choreography (although sometimes he'd "call" an over-the-back aerial to her), she understood his movements & variations so well that they ALWAYS looked great! Bravo to my sis!

Happy Frankie Month! As we move into the month of May, we would like to remember Frankie Manning, the "Ambassador of Lindy Hop", who changed our lives by sharing his love and joy for dancing. During this month, we'll share some of our old videos featuring the Legend himself! (Most of which have rarely been seen before). This one is from 1988

Just wanted to say hello and check in with everyone. We miss you all and hope to be back dancing soon!

We are so sorry to announce that due to LA county’s new MANDATE (all non-essential social gatherings must allow at least 6 feet between people), we are suspending all Classes & Dances for the time beinghoping to start everything after Easter (the week of April 18th). If you have a current series card, we will certainly honor the unused classes next series, or whenever you can use them, they will not expire. In the meantime, at this crazy time, we will miss dancing & sincerely miss all of you! We love & appreciate our Dance community!

PBDA is open for now...Of course we have concerns about the virus & are staying on top of daily govt. updates, but for the time being, we are open at PBDA. Our plan at a minimum is to at least finish the current series. We always clean our hall before & after our classes & dances, disinfecting all surfaces, doorknobs, etc. to maintain a healthy environment. If you are ill, or suspect you might be getting sick (even with the common cold), it's always best to stay home. But if you are fine, then come on down, as we are open. We'll let everyone know immediately if our situation changes. We've appreciated the positive feedback regarding our continuing at the moment.
