Feliz Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana. Let’s celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing the contributions of Hispanic Americans and Latin Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the US!! Hispanic Heritage month is celebrated annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The U.S has more than 60 million Hispanic Americans making it the largest minority group, their contributions range from serving in our military and making our country strong and prosperous to th...eir values in family, and county. The celebration includes the anniversaries of independence for the Latin American countries, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Chile, Belize and Nicaragua. We encourage you to explore the culture, traditions the many arts, movies, and books from this community. We all are strengthened by the contributions of a diverse formation of people from delicious food to music to colorful art - their impact is everywhere! Our Partners family is lucky enough to have a large representation of Hispanic and Latin Americans in our staff and all with different backgrounds and from many places. So, let’s join together in celebrating this important month. Feliz Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana. See more

Delivering on the Promise of Telehealth to Improve Health Status in California Fact-Finding Listening Conferences (Virtual) 8:30 a.m. Noon (Pacific Time) October 22, 2020 and December 2, 2020... The COVID-19 pandemic shelter-in-place and social distancing orders spotlighted the need for all Californians to be able to use telehealth and exposed the existing digital access inequities. It illuminated the imperative for investments in constructing high-speed Internet infrastructure capable of supporting telehealth services and for getting all residents online with appropriate computing devices and functional digital literacy. California has not optimized the use of Telehealth to close gaps for medically-underserved communities and economically-segregated neighborhoods, which also are home to the most digitally-disadvantaged residents. The Purpose of Fact-Finding Listening Conferences to: (1) Understand the status of Telehealth in California. (2) Identify the gaps and barriers to optimizing Telehealth to improve health status for Californians. (3) Develop an Action Plan to advance Telehealth policy and funding in California. We are pleased to announce that Kristy Malloy has been chosen as one of Partners’ two Employees of the Month for October. She has been with us since Feb. 2020 when she was hired as a Community Health Advocate to help Paradise Medical Group and their patients. Most of their patients have been impacted by the 2018 Campfire which destroyed the city of Paradise and again, recently, with the North Complex Fire in Butte County. Kristy has built many relationships with community p...roviders and is very familiar with what her community and town have to offer in terms of resources and services. She always finds a way to meet the needs of her patients and does not give up. For example, she was able to get a free water filtration system for a couple whose home survived but had extensive fire damage. Along with her resourcefulness and knowledge, she has built a solid rapport with the staff at Paradise Medical Group. Her management team at Partners all agree her personality is bubbly, compassionate, kind, and giving. Just recently, Kristy was able to get a United Way grant of $5000 for those who were affected by the 2018 Campfire. We are so fortunate and proud to have Kristy as part of the team here at Partners. We look forward to all her continued achievement. Congratulations Kristy! See more
