We did our prayer stand again this evening. We forgot how much we enjoyed doing it! Pastor Jacob smoked some pork and we gave away free pulled pork sandwiches, chips, rice krispy treats and bottled water. We had great success and made around 18 contacts! We plan to do this maybe once a month. God is encouraging us for sure!

We haven't posted in a while and wanted to give an update. The Lord was faithful to meet with us at our Family Camp in June. We had good attendance and wonderful services. We feel like we've been busy ever since then. We haven't done our prayer stand in quite a while due to the busyness, but plan to start that back up real soon. In doing my devotions this morning, I was reminded by this verse: "Therefore, my beloved, brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding ...in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]." -1 Corinthians 15:58 AMPC So, if you need a reminder, we are to always be abounding in the work of the Lord and our labors are never wasted. You mean, even when nobody stops at the prayer stand? Perhaps it caused someone to pray in their vehicle or to even think about God. Our labors are never wasted. You mean, even when you knock on doors and pass out flyers and nobody shows up at church? Maybe they will someday. Our labors are never wasted. Again, let's get out and do SOMETHING for Jesus because our labors are NEVER wasted! -J

Palmdale update!! God is so good! God has helped us with more updates around here by supplying the need. What is not pictured is, new speakers for the church and a couple more (total of 4) wireless microphones. We're also getting a new commercial fridge for the kitchen since the other one quit working. The next big project we're working on, is drilling a new well. If you've been out here before, you probably know we've had issues with supplying water. This will be a big undertaking, but we serve a big God! After that, we need to update the electric. Some big projects (financially), but as its been said lately, "God's will is God's bill." We're trusting Him to continue to provide!

We had a phenomenal IHC Convention. Gods presence was here in a powerful way. Oscar made it to the last 2 evening services and God is helping him so much! One man that comes to our church, has been bringing a lady the last few Sundays. She seems to like it and keeps coming back. Well, they invited a couple and they came the first evening service and liked it so well, they came back the other 2 evenings and invited 3 people and they came! They said they'll be back Sunday. Prai...se God! Oscar said there's 3 people he invited that promised to come Sunday. We shall see, but we know God is moving! Please pray for us for direction on our services (currently not doing a midweek service but kind of feeling like we need to have something to help these people) and how to lead these people. In June at a camp meeting, someone asked, "When you hear the phrase, 'Where God guides, He provides', what do you think of?" Someone said money. My first thought was, people. God has guided us here to Palmdale and He'll provide the people.

IHC starts tonight at 7:30pm. 3 services tomorrow and Friday. If you're in the area, you won't want to miss these services. You're bound to leave blessed and encouraged :) (The flyer with info is a few posts below this one.)

Another update on Oscar...he called Brad tonight just rejoicing. He said he was praying tonight and felt like God told him to call his Pastor. He said the load was gone. Praise God!! We saw him this morning out walking and got to talk to him and he looked so good and sounded good. He's now asking for more church cards to hand out and said he's telling people about our church and wants to help fill it! He said he'll interpret to the Hispanics. We're looking for great things from God!

Update on Oscar...he came to church today, but his body is detoxing, so he had a very rough day. We ended up calling 911 and they took him in to get checked out. He's being discharged now, with the news that he has liver failure. :( Hes 56 and still needs God. Thanks for praying for him!

Guys, here's Oscar. Our first person from our prayer stand to come to church. God is so working on this man and he's currently at our church (for prayer meeting) praying to be saved. Hes intoxicated again, but God is sobering him up. If you're awake, PLEASE help us pray for this man!!

Well, we continue to do our prayer stand Saturday evenings for a couple hours. Its been such a blessing!! We've gotten to pray with quite a number of people and some are returns. Some have given money, and again, lots of honks and waves. Being in the same spot every week, people know where to find us. :) Please pray for a man named Oscar. He was across the street at the liquor store and walked over to us. The Lord really helped us with him. He was intoxicated so I dont know h...ow much he got out of it, but I know Jesus helped us. He asked to be picked up for church in the morning. Please pray he'll come. All that to say, we're encouraged!! We haven't seen a direct result from it yet, with people attending church, but God is definitely using it and for that we're grateful and expecting some fruit from our labors! Heard this song tonight and thought about our little church. We're trying our best to get out and to do something. God has been helping us and has met with us in our services. We are thankful! If you're looking for a church or want to come visit, please do. We would love to have you! LITTLE IS MUCH WHEN GOD IS IN IT In the harvest field now ripened,... There's a work for all to do. Hark! the Master's voice is calling, To the harvest calling you. Does the place you're called to labor Seem so small and little known? It is great if God is in it, For He'll not forsake His own. Little is much when God is in it! Labor not for wealth or fame, There's a crown, and you can win it, If you go in Jesus' name. Are you laid aside from service, Body worn from toil and care? You can still be in the battle, In the sacred place of prayer. And when the conflict here has ended, And our race on earth is run, He will say, if you've been faithful, "Welcome home, My childwell done!"

I probably won't post every weekend we do this, but we had more helpers this time. We plan to make more signs for the bystanders to hold. :) One lady that stopped for prayer last week, drove past tonight and said she'd be at church in the morning. Please pray she'll come!

We set up the prayer stand again this weekend. We purchased a canopy and banners. We plan to do this every Saturday evening as we can. God is using this! We came in contact with 5 people tonight and again, lots of honks etc. We even got the kids involved this time and people seemed to have liked seeing that. This is so simple and so fulfilling!

Doing some outreach tonight! We bought a canopy and are buying banners to attach letting people know they can stop for prayer. We got lots of honks and one stop, but I prayed for at least one. So, thank you Jesus! They were a young couple and their names were Gilbert and Gloria. Please pray that they'll start coming. This was so fun!! -J
