Many churches are discerning how to safely facilitate in-person worship inside their sanctuaries. The Presbytery of the Pacific is hosting a dialogue on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10 a.m. (PDT) for congregations thinking about or planning to reopen their campus as COVID-19 restrictions are reduced. Representatives from 7 of our churches will share their plans and processes for next steps in gathering in-person as communities of faith. There will be ample time for discussion... with the panelists. We hope that pastors and representatives of sessions or planning committees can join the discussion! Please register to attend! https://pacificpresbytery.churchcenter.com/registr//827628

Immanuel Music Team to Lift Voters' Spirits 2-8PM!! As many already know Immanuel Presbyterian is a voting location. The LA county elections team and their volunteers are set up in our basement Geneva Hall (see below). Tomorrow from 2-8pm the Immanuel Music team and special guests, led by Interim Music Lead September Penn and Spanish Music Lead Mariela Arredondo, will be leading a combination of live and recorded music in the Immanuel staff parking lot next to the Berendo entrance to the building. We are grateful to community partners LA Voice (and the McKinnor Group) for the funding to make this happen. If you are in the neighborhood, please come say hello. Our music leaders will be masked and practicing social distancing.

An invitation to take the next step--phone banking--from Rev. Carlton Rhoden, Senior Pastor, Westminster Presbyterian Church and organizer for Pacific Presbytery through LA Voice. I participated last week and IT WAS GREAT! Please join Carlton tomorrow night at 6:30pm at the zoom link below! Grace and Peace, Heidi To Pacific Presbytery:... I know that I do not need to express or explain the importance of the upcoming election. I want to invite all of you and your congregations to join me in some spiritual grounding and prayer before the LA Voice phone banking Tuesday nights at 6:30pm. The phone banks are ways to reach out to our own congregations or local communities to encourage everyone to vote in the upcoming election. This is just one possible tool to be used to move people to vote and participate. It doesn't need a massive amount of people, just 2-3 people from your church, to spend two hours on a few Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. You would be surprised how much this helps to get people voting and engaged. I am holding a 20 minute zoom call to help people get in the correct spirit and mind set for this very important work. Moreover, I would love the opportunity to speak with you about how I can be of more assistance to you or your congregation as we prepare to get every member to vote in the upcoming election. Please just email me and we can set up a time to speak. Here is the zoom link for my meeting: Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86571638571 Meeting ID: 865 7163 8571 Passcode: 496787 Here is the link for the phone banks: HTTPS://ZOOM.US/J/94565385358 Thank you in advance for your consideration and I hope to be talking to you soon.
