This is such a poignant and powerful story. Thank you, Jean.
Love this interview with Maxine Hines and highly recommend it. Thanks Jean for all you do for our community.
Good to see you are interviewing our community members on how they are doing during these difficult times. And Andy Pappas's story is very inspiring!
An oldie but goodie. Congresswoman Jackie Speier Town meeting 2017 at the Little Brown Church.
This story by Jean Bartlett is a real page-turner. It's full of scandal!

Thank you for this story, Jean. Judy Tugendreich really did a lot for her community. I wish I had known her!!

MEMORABILIA FROM PACIFICA’S CASTLE FOR SALE OWN A PIECE OF PACIFICA HISTORY The Pacifica Historical Society has received a fabulous donation from the Sam Mazza Foundation of items from their collection at Pacifica’s Castle. These are earmarked for us to sell to help raise funds to continue the restoration of our Ocean Shore Railroad Car that will some day be part of the Coastside Museum We have artwork and statuary and stained glass indoor and much outdoor art, and even a vintage coke machine. There is a wide range of value many require some restoration. . We will also supply a certificate of authenticity verifying provenance. Please call Kathleen @415 509 6685 for details . They will be available to be viewed at Crespi Center by appt and then at an open - but virus safe - sale next week end.
The linked story, below, is on Pacifican Med Chrysler who went to Terra Nova High School. I'm writing biographies on each of the Pacifica kids who died in Vietn...am. (It's part of a memorial project.) It's an honor to learn about them and tell their individual tales. https://46d14119-b42d-469c-887f-083db2a10fe7.filesusr.com/ See more
This early and longtime Pacifica elementary school teacher moved to Pacifica in 1941. He first discovered Sharp Park as a kid, riding the old Ocean Shore Railroad. Read about this Pacifica pioneer here. https://46d14119-b42d-469c-887f-083db2a10fe7.filesusr.com/
This is also so well written, Jean. Both Lydia and Paul were such wonderful Pacificans.
Really well-written and informative.
Kathleen Manning - The gift that keeps on giving.
Bill Drake and his wife Peggy purchased the Pacifica Tribune in 1959. For 30 years, until he and Peggy retired, this publisher/editor and writer gave his fellow Pacificans their "town." Link to his story here: https://46d14119-b42d-469c-887f-083db2a10fe7.filesusr.com/
Really an extraordinary story. Thank you, Jean!
You might have heard this Pacifican singing at various local venues, or maybe you heard her on Ian Butler's latest CD, "In My Hand." Interviewed at Pedro Point Brewing, read Tré Taylor's story here: https://46d14119-b42d-469c-887f-083db2a10fe7.filesusr.com/
