We are hosting a garage sale this weekend with great finds from furniture, lamps, rugs, lampshades to small home decor. Many of the items are brand new! The items will be in out in the open outdoor space and not in a garage. MASKS are required and only 5 people at a time will be allowed at one time. We want to make sure everyone is safe as possible.... Proceeds will benefit OPAWL's philanthropic endeavors.

Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love. By Stevie Wonder Do you know how Mother's Day came to be? The second Sunday of May is celebrated as Mother’s Day every year. This year Mother’s Day fell on May 10 and is the perfect day to celebrate the power of unconditional love. Although many might believe that we do not need a special day to honour this beautiful relat...ionship but isn’t it a great opportunity to have one special day to do so? Because lost in our busy lives to earn a living how often do we take out time to thank the person who brought us to this world? And thanks to Anna Marie Jarvis, more popularly known as Anna Jarvis, who is recognized as the founder of Mother’s Day. Anna celebrated this day to honor her own mother Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis who was a social activist during the American Civil war. To recognize the efforts of Anna, the 28th President of the United States, Thomas Woodrow Wilson, signed a proclamation on May 9, 1914, which declared the second Sunday of May as a national holiday in honor of mothers. So as we continue with our social distancing, we hope that mothers all over the world got celebrated and doted on by their loved ones. Tell us, how did you celebrate or how were you celebrated during this COVID-19 time?
