Pacific Edge Tackle 14.11.2020

Most of the time the tanks that get heavily customized tend to be the larger models we manufacture. But once in a while a customer wants all the options but on a smaller scale. I had a lot of fun with this one!!! I've never done a window on a 22 gallon tank before so that was a first but it came out beautifully. Then a pair of custom 3 position rod racks for each end. As this tank is swim-step mounted on a small boat a locking lid seemed in order. The underside shows the inlet on one end and the drain aft so the water will just spill straight over the side. Four stainless steel quick release mounts complete the project.

I haven't been posting much recently...we've been very busy!!! But I bet you'll be seeing much more of this particular project in the near future. This is the top view of another totally custom PE-60-ST (the Billy K Special) built and soon to be installed on his brand new 23' Parker. Congratulations on the new rig Billy!!!

A quick story of two new tanks; The first is a PE-80-SDI now being installed on a 25 'Parker. I had one for years, loved it and wished it had never been sold. They are the perfect inshore/offshore boat for SoCal and I had so much fun on mine!!! The other tank is a custom PE-90-ST with a bunch of special additions. It's being finished up now and will soon be the centerpiece in our Pacific Edge booth at the Fred Hall/Long Beach show.... Please stop by, say "Hi" and check out the new tanks.

A new customer stopped by yesterday with his nearly new 13' Whaler. He needed a bait tank so I showed him our 12 gallon poly "Micro Tank". We carried it out to the boat, set it in place and he said "Done" as it fits perfectly. I wish it was always that easy!!! The large tank with the window is soon to be installed on a big rig as soon as they finish the repower. The cabinet partially in the pic is storage only, no bait tank, the base dimenions are about 22"x41"and is for sale...$500. The rows of molds are all for our fiberglass tanks. And as I've said before..."Big or small, we build 'em all".

It's been a very busy fall season here at Pacific Edge. With the economy better and boat sales booming we're going full speed to keep up!!! The pic of the tank on the pallet is especially gratifying as its going back to North Carolina for a customer just finishing a new boat . He specializes in catching giant stripers on large mackerels in shallow water...my kind of guy...and his PE-90-ST will hold a bunch. The pic of the three tanks highlight our #1 seller...the PE-60-ST. Th...e gray tank in the middle is headed to the Northwest for a custom aluminum boat and the othre two are for Parker 2320's...one of the best boats for Socal inshore/offshore of all time!!! Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all!!! Mark

We just finished another beautiful bow tank for "Team Bad Company".This one is going on the 70 footer that is currently being refit, lengthened and repowered in San Diego. The tank is our stock PE-80-D that we customized by cutting it down 8" to 26' height overall, foamfilling for splash reduction and adding a lip to support the latest design of splashguards. A starboard/stainless rod rack completes the package. To Anthony, Steve and crew...Good Luck and Good fishing!!!

Another beautiful custom tank...a PE-120-SDI with green windows and set off from deck level with a unique toe-kick.

For you 21' Parker owners searching for the perfect bait tank check this one out...the PE-38-ST. It's the little brother to the super-popular PE-60-ST with the same features but just proportionally smaller. This one will be offshore fishing tuna real soon!!!

Two projects heading different directions to their new rides. The bait tank (PE-60-D) is staying local...soon to be seen on Brandon Haywards latest 23' Parker. I imagine you'll see it soon enough with limits of lobsters on one side and a scoop or two of squid on the other. The custom rodholder just finished a road-trip out to Florida. There is a matched pair...the final touch to finish offf each of the 120 gallon tanks on the bow of the bad-ass "Bad Company 144". Can't wait to watch that story as it unfolds!!!

Whether its tools, tackle or something more...I love having the right gear for the job!!!

Another happy customer!!! He's been patiently waiting for the window sealant to cure and the tank to be ready for delivery. Here is his new baby, ready to get strapped in and delivered to the boat...another in a long list of 23' Parkers. They are such great boats for SoCal offshore fishing. Thanks again Joe!!

We rolled in to summertime looking forward to more good times on the water...it's been a blast so far!!! With all the fish around it's hard to stay focused but duty calls and business comes first so we're hard at it. The big tank was loaded on a trailer and just left and is now on the back deck of the Hatteras (the one featured in a recent "Local Knowledge" episode). The jig wall just got reloaded as did the CalStar rack with the rods to throw them. It's that time of year...time to go fishing!!!

The big tank we've been working on is now done and ready for its new home...the giant cockpit of a 90' sport fisherman. Now it's back to basics and maybe a bit more fishing. The amount of tuna around is staggering!!!
