We hope you can help one of our Oxnard Firefighter families that is in great need. The Taylor family recently experienced a serious family emergency. Captain Brandon Taylor's wife Racquel recently experienced an aneurysm. She was transported by ambulance to Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura and then again transported to a neighboring hospital for specialized care. The Taylors have 3 children and are currently in the middle of moving homes. Brandon has been at the hospi...tal waiting for any updates from doctors, and also waiting for COVID restrictions to be lifted so he and his family can be by Raquels side. With such a serious family emergency and their living situation, Brandon and his family will be facing some big financial challenges. Oxnard Firefighters are doing everything we can to help our friend and brother out through this tough time, but this is beyond our resources. We are looking towards you, our extended fire family and community for whatever help you can provide. We have started this GoFundMe Page for Brandon's Family to help them through this tough times. If you are able to help we ask that you please donate and/or share this post to get the word out. Thank you. https://gofund.me/be051e06
Sending our prayers, hugs, and thoughts to our brothers and sisters.
This weekend we remember those that never returned.
We want to remind everyone of our fundraising event tonight at Topa Topa Brewry in Ventura. Come by and join us in raising funds for one of our brothers and his family who is going through a hard time. A portion of all purchases at Topa Topa Brewery will be donated to the Oxnard Firefighters Foundation, with all those proceeds going to the Taylor Family. We hope to see you there. Details are below:
Another hero gone too soon. Heavy day for our brethren in blue.
RIP to our brothers and sisters in blue in San Luis Obispo
Preparations are underway for today’s 2021 Oxnard Fire Department Academy Graduation. These 10 firefighter trainees have endured 16 weeks of challenging specialized training. They will now move into their probationary year where they will continue learning and training while also running calls for service in the City of Oxnard. Congratulations on your accomplishment and good luck on your year long probation.
Happy to see a new narrative coming from our City’s Leadership Team. We have a good council team, with a caring Mayor in John C. Zaragoza, and a really good City Manager with Alex Nguyen. Together, they are looking out for Oxnard’s future.
You’re still remembered and celebrated.
Awesome to see our sister leading the Pledge of Allegiance today. What a great role model for ALL of us. #IAFF
The world would be a better place if more leaders were like this icon. We still benefit from his contributions to our world. #MLKDay
Sad for the victim, their family, and the driver. Please stay alert out there.
Glad no one got injured. Stay alert everyone.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
Prayers for our brothers and their families.

Sad that this even had to be contested in our courts. Basic sanitation can quickly become a local disaster if maintenance or repairs are left unattended too. City ratepayers paid more than $500,000 in legal fees and costs in the Measure M litigation. City Manager Alex Nguyen added, Measure M drained a half-million of taxpayer dollars because the City had to fight Mr. Starr over the public’s right to be able to safely flush their toilets. Thank you Ran Dee for helping set the record straight. False and fake narratives are so divisive these days.
Some great footage and tunes to go along. Our firefighters, along with thousands of others from across this nation, state, and globe have been hard at work protecting life and property.
