Today's #PublicLandsDay's 25th anniversary and this year a lot is at stake. The administration's current budget proposal aims to reduce funding for the U.S. Department of the Interior by over $2 billion, U.S. Forest Service by up to $1 billion, Land and Water Conservation Fund, which uses royalties from offshore oil and gas drilling to conserve and expand access to public lands, by 98% from $400 million down to $8 million. The Outdoor Industry Association says "Such drastic reductions could sound the death knell for already cash-strapped land management agencies" Use your #OutdoorVoice to support these public lands that have been set aside for us all.
