Guess what, fitfam?! We’ve gotten our new outdoor set up done at Oakridge mall! Remember to enter the garage from Winfield, next to Living Spaces and then drive up to the third floor. To book classes you’ll still do it through the app for the Communication Hill location. See you starting January 2nd!

You may have heard that we have been working on a new location for our outdoor workouts and I am excited that I can announce that we have secured a spot! We will be moving to the Oakridge Mall parking garage! This will give us more space, privacy AND we can workout rain or shine. We are really excited about this move and hope you will be too! The location will be in the parking garage that is near the Living Spaces on the 3rd level. Our space will be fenced in and we ha...ve the whole garage to ourselves, so plenty of space to park! With that being said, we will be closing from 12/25/2020 until 1/1/2021, reopening on 1/2/2021 at Oakridge. This will give us time to get everything ready and moved so that we are ready to start 2021 fresh in our new spot! ***IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR MEMBERSHIP ON A COURTESY FREEZE DURING THIS TIME, PLEASE LET ME KNOW, OTHERWISE YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL REMAIN ACTIVE. Get your tissues ready because the Jolly Ginger Giant’s final days are here. His last official day will be the 24th so if you haven’t booked classes for that day you better get a move on! If you can’t make it on the 24th, we will also be sending him off at San Pedro square on Sunday the 25th from 3-6 so please feel free to stop by and say your good-byes then!

It’s a double feature, folks! Sadly, it is also Gloria’s last day. She bought a new house in Oakley so she’s looking to stay closer to home. Gloria has gone through the entire OTF life cycle. She was a member, who then got hired on as Front Desk, promoted to Assistant Manager, and then promoted again and was Studio Manager of Silver Creek. Because she’s been through it all she was very much the Mama Duck of the OTF family and has been a great mentor to both Comm Hill and Silver Creek. She has worked tirelessly for both locations through quarantine. She’s leaving some very hard shoes to fill. Thank you so much for being such an integral part of the family, Gloria! You will be greatly missed!

It’s Coach Aly’s last day! We’re so sad to see you go but no matter where you go you can ALWAYS call Comm Hill home. Best of luck!

Reunited and it feels so good! The coaches, the community, the challenging workouts - I missed all of it! The staff has done an amazing job reopening the studio. From the efficient check-in process, thorough cleaning protocols, top-notch coaches and friendly front desk staff to the expertly programmed outdoor OTF workouts that even include a 2G format multiple times a week - I am thrilled to be back at OTF Comm Hill. Getting back to my morning workout classes (shout out to... my fellow early risers!) has helped bring a sense of normalcy during a time that is anything but normal. The energy the Comm Hill coaches bring to all the classes is something special. It's what keeps me coming back, even on the days when the snooze button tempts me. And though I miss treadmill #9, the water rower and I are enjoying our renewed friendship. . . . Love this! Thank you so much. We love spending our mornings with you! See more

I'm extremely happy and satisfied to be back taking OT classes. It had been 6 months to the day since my last class. I had no idea what my stamina level would be because of the very long break. Just like my very first OT class 4 years ago, I just jumped right in, and it all fell into place. My first outdoor class felt new but familiar at the same time. I’m still getting the same level of workout compared to the indoor classes. I’m tracking my workouts from my OT device and t...he mobile app, so I’m still able to monitor my splat points, burned calories and heart rate. I'm thrilled to be back to a consistent routine with excellent coaches to guide and instruct the class templates. Seeing familiar faces, the front desk and other class attendees has been awesome. I have really missed the connection and the OT community. . . . Thank you so much, Regina! Congrats again on completing 1,000 class! See more

I was so excited when Orangetheory Comm Hill started their outdoor workouts. I appreciated the Instagram and Zoom workouts the coaches hosted for us, to help us stay emotionally and physically in shape during all the Covid-19 shutdown restrictions. However, nothing compares to an in-person workout session with the coaches and other members! The coaches always inspire you to do your best and are so happy to welcome you back! OTF Comm Hill has created a great program ensurin...g we have a safe outdoor workout without sacrificing any of the benefits of a challenging workout. After having your temperature taken, and responding to a few questions about Covid-19 possible exposure or symptoms, you head thru the studio and outback for the workout. Once you get to the workout area, you are greeted by the coaches and you see all the equipment you’ve been missing except the treadmills and the OTF board. But don’t fret, even without the treadmills and the OTF board, you’ll get a great cardio workout. The coaches always tell us our workout levels aren’t about the numbers but how you feel. We all know our base, push, and all-out workout level efforts, and it is easy to achieve those levels in the outdoor workouts. I feel completely safe as the Comm Hill coaches and staff take numerous precautions to clean the workout equipment between sessions. They do a great job and I want to thank them for all the extra effort they do to make the outdoor workouts a reality! Each day they haul out and setup the equipment outside to ensure we have the true OTF experience. I’m so glad to be back with the OTF family in such a safe environment! . . . Sadly today is Megan’s last day. Megan was a Silver Creek employee but as soon as we went into quarantine she stepped up and asked what she could do for the team. When we reopened for outdoor workouts she was ready to hit the ground running! Not only are we thankful for the hard work you put in at Silver Creek but also for the impact you’ve made at Comm Hill. We are so sad to see you go but you will always be part of the family.

With winter upon us we know that mornings can be cold and or wet so in the best interest of everyone, if it rains the night before or the temp drops below 40 degrees, morning classes will likely be moved indoors. So long as the Astro turf is dry, afternoon outdoor classes will remain outdoors. We’ve also added a 3:30pm class on Mondays and Wednesdays to offset bringing morning classes indoors for those who aren’t ready to do indoor classes just yet so check for those classes on our schedule!

We know we’ve got to stay indoors so join us for a zoom workout today at noon!
