Myofascial Release Trigger Point for Hip/Leg muscle pain and stiffness. Always perform both sides regardless. Locate trigger point which can be 3-4 finger width from the hips belt line. Place entire body weight onto the foam to initiate the trigger point and your body's stretch. Next slowly rotate body back and forth for oscillating & softening the muscle tissue. More therapeutic muscle release is applied when we raise our leg slowly on our affected side. Repeat for 4-6 repetitions and build from there.

Nerve Stretch (MEDIAN NERVE): Our Nerves will work together with & within our muscles. It is important to understand that muscle pain is different from nerve pain. Below I’m stretching what is known to be the Median Nerve which stems from our neck down throughout your arm. I am performing the stretch with my right arm. 1) Bring shoulder blade down and hold. 2) Palm and fingers extend to the ceiling. 3) Neck laterally bends away to the side (my palm rotates out in order to in...tensify the stretch). your choice. 6) 6-12 repetitions. Speed is slow and controlled. Important to note: When bending my head back to start position I would need to look to the side (rotate toward the side I am working) This stretch is vital for chronic pain, post surgery due to herniated disc in the neck, Job injuries that nag throughout the arm (Carpal Tunnel) and immobilize strength in hands or use of arm. Since there are multiple nerves working and not just this one it’s important to do others. Osteopathy can help. Book your appointment and don’t wait. www.osteomoves.com See more

Neck Relief: Our Nerves will work together with & within our muscles. The nerves help conduct our ability to move at our highest optimal range and capacity. If not then we have some work to do. Affecting this nerve comes from Jobs/Jaw clinching/muscle impingement or the body guarding itself in a state of protection due to slight injury. In addition to our long time chronic pain or awkward movements our body will transmit a threat to your cerebellum & in reality what you ne...ed is nerve mobilization and self neurological correction. The picture shown is how your Median nerve ( C5- C7) will be the cause of neck pain in the red areas shown, Carpal Tunnel or pain amongst other factors. How? Book your Osteopathy session and lets evaluate top to bottom in regulating the pain and correcting bad posture habits at the same time. www.osteomoves.com See more

Back problems? Arm Nagging/Pain? Phrenic Nerve: Absolutely underestimated and one nerve that is easily overlooked. The Phrenic Nerve descends from the neck (C3-C5) under the colar bone (Thorax) and down medial closely working with membranes amd most importantly our Diaphragm. Our shoulder and neck can be suffering with this compressed nerve giving us tingly, pain or numbness in our arm or neck. It can even happen from lifting to much weights seriously at times that we can get ...a sense of nagging/immobilized or a weakening function of the arms performance. Yes- contributing to back problems as well due to the nerve being restricted or compressed not enabling our Diaphragm to work properly which the back can suffer more. Treatments involve mobilizing this nerve, Breathing techniques and Diaphragm release techniques. Proper maintenance on the body is vital for future pain related causes from the root injury. Inflammation & Congested? The anti inflammatory oil is warming and to the tissues thus aiding in reducing muscle stiffness, congestion, and pain. Castor Oil, when heated, penetrates through the skin and muscles, affects the underlying tissue and encourages the breakdown of inflammatory material through enhancing both blood circulation and lymphatic flow. Interesting that Castor Oil packs can be placed on the right hand side of the abdomen above the liver, over the whole abdom...en or the lower abdomen in the case of reproductive issues, cramping or pelvic congestion and over areas of pain, inflammation, or sore muscles. To test your amount apply a small amounts on the skin first for a test. An often missing-link to why back pain may still be present is that we fail to observe what our cranial tissue is doing. Yes, the muscles, tendons and ligaments behind the neck. Manual techniques for C0, C1 may release the area appropriately and is often done after addressing the back pain and vertebrae levels S1 and S2. We need to remember the root causes of pain sensations are not just located in the area of the pain thus it is possible to address body healing as a complete kinetic chain. Believe it or not 90% of your pain stems from your cerebellum. Signals are sent from our cerebellum to create pain which the pain appears where we initially feel the symptoms due to our injury. Overlapping tissues that suffocate & become tangled occur that we must calm it down before in order to treat. Not only we must locate and treat the pain but correct dysfunction as well. The sphenoid is often very overlooked which is a bone located between our eyes. When the sphenoid is... mobilized and set into re-alignment not only our posture but our pain and imbalances that undergo chronic pain and even unanswered headaches become treated as well. When the Sphenoid is treated and redirected according to the need of its placement the body heals itself. If you are interested in how the Sphenoid would be treated for you and would like osteopathic care then lets book your session & move you in the right direction. See more
