We love a road trip success story! Davis and Ann ran into a coolant issue 3 hours into their trip - thankfully they were saved by Manager Marcus at Store #2652 in Holbrook, AZ. "We were on a trip from Arizona to Michigan when suddenly the Add Coolant message came on. We managed to limp into Holbrook at Store #2652. The Manager of the store, Marcus, swung into action to save the day and our trip. Turns out, he’s a mechanic himself, and a creative, good one! He found th...e problem, a hole in a hose, and grabbed some new clamps, potentially useful parts, and pulled out his own tools. Marcus gave me direction from his position, lying on the ground, face-up, in the parking lot, to help him wrestle the bad hose out. When it came loose, several tablespoons, at least, of coolant spilled down on him. He didn’t say a word! Not a complaint, nothing. Just pure, professional mechanic skill and a desire to help someone in need. He was amazing, and quite a testament to his cool, problem-solving temperament. He wound up cutting the hose in two, at the hole, stuck a short piece of pipe into the hole, clamped that into place, and then got busy reinstalling our repaired hose into the vehicle. After running the engine for a while to see if it would leak (it certainly did not!), we thanked him. I want to offer our unequivocal praise for outstanding service and a hearty thank you to Marcus, and the entire O’Reilly Auto Parts family, for coming to our aid and saving our trip. He really did go above and beyond what anyone would have expected him to do in order to serve our needs. When we need more parts (or fluids!) you can bet we will be going only to an O’Reilly Auto Parts store. "

Happy Fathers Day! #OReillyPowered "As my daughter in law Aimee mentioned, my son Jamie is the most deserving father. Jamie did not grow up with a father who was present. Jamie being the oldest of three brothers, stepped up to help me and to this day, still does on an almost daily basis. He made it ...his mission to be the most loving and hardworking father to his three young boys, regardless of the absent father figure he had. He has faced numerous life challenges, but it has never slowed him down. He put himself through college, and has been working as a car technician for over 14 years. (He loves him a classic Corvette!!) No matter how tough work is, he still comes home at night to spend time with his family. Bike rides, building forts and rebuilding engines are among his favorite things to do with his sons. He visits your store on a constant basis for the supplies he needs for cars and any other project. As his mom, he has always been there when I needed him. Broken AC, flat tire, tree removal, fallen fence, sick animals, you name it. If you asked anyone that knows Jamie, they could list so many times Jamie has come to their aid. After renting a small home for several years, he had finally saved enough money in 2017 for a down payment on a home where his boys could have a yard and their own bedrooms, but unfortunately one year after purchasing the home, they lost everything to Hurricane Florence WHILE inside the home. His family lost almost everything, but he always stayed positive. I don’t know how he does it! He has always put his family first, so rather than pursue the dental work he required due to a terrible accident, he put his remaining savings down on another house after his family lived with me for several months. My sons dream day would be a trip to the dentist so he doesn’t have to hide his smile. Sure, he would love to visit the corvette museum and take his children to Disney World, but HE deserves to smile when all he does is make everyone else smile.
