Homemade organic candied walnuts: on very low heat, the walnuts were sautéed in grass fed butter. Next, grade B maple syrup, which is rich in minerals, was added until the syrup was gently caramelized. The walnuts were then seasoned with pink Himalayan salt and toasted black sesame seeds, which are a valuable source of calcium and selenium. This is an anti-inflammatory, omega-3 rich snack, that is good for the brain and a tasty treat for the spring season on top of salads.
