Currently, the NBFD has multiple units out fighting the Silverado Fire that started early yesterday morning. ... NB6, NE62 and NE66 are out as a XOR strike team. NE63 is assisting on our OES Engine. Additionally, NE61 and NE64 are providing mutual aid and covering North Orange County. With many units assisting and battling the fire, the NBFD has backfilled the city with people coming in from home, making sure our city is fully staffed and covered. #newportbeachfiredepartment
