Hey Members - A bit more patience please. As of 7:00 am today, July 28th, it remains unsafe to enter the pool. The water is clearing, but chemical levels are high and cloudiness persists. Because of this the facility will remain closed at least until 3:00pm today. The condition will be assessed at that time and an update on closure status will be sent via email this afternoon. Hello Members! Because of poor water quality over the last few days, the pool was "shocked" with copious amounts of chemicals this morning in order to bring back water clarity and quality. As a result it is unsafe to enter the pool today, July 27th. If it is deemed necessary to keep the pool closed beyond today we will let you know. A "Pool Closed" sign is up and the gate has been chained. While this is not the news we want to hear today, please understand that necessary steps are being taken to remedy the situation and we will let members know the minute it is safe to open up again. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Somewhere over the rainbow a beautiful new partial deck surface was poured at the pool today! This was an important and necessary improvement for pool safety and compliance, but gosh it looks great too!

Interested in shaping the 2020 Pool Season at the OORC? Please join the volunteer board for a meeting Monday, January 26th at 6:30pm for a one-hour planning meeting. Board obligations are truly minimal, but most appreciated. We especially need insight from 'handy' people, with great insight into making the pool more enjoyable for all members! Meeting is at Darrin's house - please message with interest.

It's going to be SMOKING hot in August folks - if you want to help keep the pool open: - SHOWER before you get into the pool. The pool is not a shower, despite what your teenager says. - Apply sunscreen at home so it sinks into your skin and not into the pool water. If you apply at the pool - wait a while before you get in so it soaks into your skin. - Make sure the pool sweep is in the pool - Help keep the pool water levels where needed... THANK YOU to all members for being such fabulous social distancers and disinfecting as needed. We are doing a GREAT job and have managed to keep the pool as a safe haven for our members!

Good afternoon, The pool is back open! The pool clarity should continue to improve over the next few days. Remember to do your part to help maintain good water quality. Please shower before entering the pool. After applying sunscreen, wait to enter the water for 10 minutes. Better yet, minimize or completely avoid sunscreen, and instead cover up or seek shade.... The pool sweep should be in the water at all times; feel free to gently guide the apparatus to the side to allow more room for swimming. Also, please educate your little ones on being kind to the nice vacuum. Thank you for your consideration and happy swimming! The OORC Board

August 19, 2019 @ 2:00pm POOL is CLOSED until Thursday, August 22 for maintenance. We are sorry for this unforeseen closure and will update if anything changes.

Cloudy Pools aren't fun! Have you applied sunscreen and then jumped in the water? Did you know sunscreen needs to soak in about 30 minutes for it not to simply wash into our water? Please try to apply sunscreen at home and give yourself enough time to let it soak in before enjoying the pool.

Members - Please leave the pool sweep IN THE POOL. If you take it out momentarily, please place it back in the pool as soon as possible. We have a cloudy pool today and are having to triage in the height of pool enjoyment-season, unfortunately. Thank you for your help in keeping the pool clean and happy for everyone!
