Happy Fiesta Saturday! During a normal Fiesta, you'd be able to enjoy Las Noches de Ronda, Nights of Gaiety, in the famous Sunken Gardens of the beautiful Santa Barbara County Courthouse. The evening performances feature spectacular dances and songs from the fire of flamenco to the charm of Mexican folklórico dances. Over 200 performers entertain nightly and donate their time to this wonderful event. This year, we are happy to bring you a replay of the 2018 event. We hope you enjoy it! Viva la Fiesta!

Although we won't be having a parade today, we wanted to share this wonderful footage provided by the Santa Barbara Historical Museum of the 1924 & 1926 El Desfile Historico! What wonderful scenes of old Santa Barbara and this wonderful tradition we hold so dear. Thank you again Santa Barbara Historical Museum! La Misa del Presidente (the Mass of the President) is held at at Old Mission Santa Barbara every year on the second day of Fiesta. People of all faiths are invited to attend this Mass which dates back to Fiesta 1936. As we know, this is no normal year! But that did not stop this 84 year old tradition from continuing with a very emotional and intimate gathering. Thank you to the Misa Committee, Father Larry and our long-time community partner, Old Mission Santa Barbara for ho...noring this sacred tradition. Attendees were also treated to a perforamce by the Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta as they danced on the Mission steps. There was not a dry eye among any of the guests. Thank you Saint Barbara for being part of this special day and to Fritz Olenberger for once again capturing these precious moments. Please remember that the Mission is private property and permission is necessary for performance and group photos! Thanks for understanding!
