His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. The prince married Princess Elizabeth in 1947, five years before she became Queen, and was the longest-serving royal consort in British history. Thank you so much for all the kind words. I'm so proud of my mom and all the people she brought a smile to.

It is with an enormously heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Queen Bee and fearless leader Jean Karasek She was incredibly proud of her store, Oh Fancy That, and the community she created for Ex-pats and Anglophiles alike. She created a place for people to pick up their favorite treats and have a bit of chat when they missed their home. She became a replacement Mum for many customers. When Jean slowly started to take time away from her stor...e to get treatment it was to a chorus of Where’s Jean? How’s Jean? Send Jean my love! She was an incredible force of a woman and will be deeply missed. Jean was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2018. She fought hard, laughed loud, and soldiered on. She passed peacefully after a very private battle. Her daughter would like to continue her mother’s legacy and keep Oh Fancy That’s doors open in her honor. Please bear with us as we grieve and figure out this transition. Have a cup of tea, say a prayer, and have a laugh in memory of my darling, funny, loud, bossy, silly, kind, cheeky Mum.
