Great way to strip paint off old original kitchen hardware, doorknobs and hinges. Purchase a used crockpot from a thrift store and fill it with water and add one small drop of dish soap. Throw any and all hardware with old paint in the crock pot, set temp to low medium and let sit for 24 hours. After 24 hours, put some latex gloves on and scrape paint off. Do not use anything metal to scrape off paint as this will scratch the metal you are trying to restore. Use a hard plastic. :) repeat until all paint is off, shine it up with a little beez wax, and boom! Just like that, you have restored all your old hardware in your beautiful vintage home. :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
