Some people don't know that OFRS, Inc. specializes in a broad spectrum of environmental related work. Here is a a great shot taken this morning from one of our crews working alongside Orange County Public Works, performing bio and environmental cleanup of one of the many vacant homeless encampments located within Southern California. Waste characterization, segregation, handling, and disposal, are key to performing proper encampment cleanups. Going into a site you know little to nothing about, you have to be prepared for all levels of required PPE. Ours crews are trained and ready, whether is standard Level D, or Haz-Mat Level A - OFRS has a crew that is trained and ready. Our guys work safe, hard, and efficient.

Early morning Heath and Safety meetings are key to keeping the guys focused and prepared. I'm really fortunate and proud of this crew. A very interesting article in regards to site most of us in Southern California are very familiar with, the large and ever-growing tent city along the 57 freeway in Orange County. We are proud to announce that OFRS, Inc. has been awarded a multi-year contract, through Orange County Public Works, to provide environmental cleanup and bio-hazardous remedial services for the complete stretch of the Santa Ana Riverbed, which includes this this encampment - and countless others throughout Orange County. After reading this article keep in mind, not all of these people chose to be there - some have just been dealt a bad hand.

OFRS Inc. is thrilled to be supporting the City of Long Beach in the Deforest Park Wetlands Restoration Project. Our tasks involved in supporting this project include the safe, proper removal, and disposal of all Bio-Haz waste left over from vacant homeless encampments that are stretched throughout the 1.5 mile project parameter. We are also proud to be working with the LBPD in assisting with relocation and rehabilitation services to any of the people that are unfortunate enough to be living under these circumstances and willing to receive these services.

This project involves the excavation, leak testing, and re abandonment of as many as 25 previously abandoned oil wells in the Los Angeles City Oil Field.
