The Ontario Christian Preschool held its annual Christmas Program this week! Due to the recent restrictions set in place, the preschool was unable to perform in front of a live audience, but with smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts the Ontario Christian Preschool team found a way to quickly adapt just as they've done all year. Each performance was recorded and will be sent out to all preschool parents to enjoy over and over again in the comfort of their own home! Th...ank you Ontario Christian Preschool students, parents, and staff for another great Christmas Program! We are so thankful for your love and patience and the opportunity to partner with you as we fulfill our missing of Growing Christian Leaders! Merry Christmas! (Note to Ontario Christian Preschool Parents: Be on the lookout for an email from Preschool Director, Jane Reichert, containing the link to view this year's Preschool Christmas Program.) #GrowingChristianLeaders #LetYourLightShine #TogetherWeAreKnights

OCHS Senior softball catcher and team captain, Bridgette Trujillo, will be playing softball for the Biola Eagles. Bridgette is a career .464 hitter for the Knights, was named All-League in her freshman and sophomore seasons, and is currently ranked 8th in OCHS All-Time Career Doubles. Trujillo has started every game of her career at catcher and has only given up 7 stolen bases in her OCHS career! Congratulations, Bridgette! Every year the Ontario Christian High School Art Design students complete a mural that incorporates the basic use of all the supplies and tools they are given to use throughout the semester, as well as some introduction into drawing and painting techniques. Even though this academic school year has looked a little different than years past, that didn't stop Art Design Teacher, Mr. Huisken, from continuing the annual mural assignment. This year's mural theme was entitled "Audu...bon's Birds of America" which was inspired by American painter, John James Audubon. The project is constructed of acrylic, graphite, watercolor pencil, and ink on paper and is designed to go over all of the dos and don'ts with respect to their supplies. Due to the on-campus guidelines set in place, the Art Design class has had to get a bit creative in regards to projects this school year, and this mural was no different. After Mr. Huisken lectured on Audubon and his process, as well as modeled the lesson, through Zoom meetings, students were instructed to pick up the supplies for the project during the high school's all-school pick-up day. After the assignment was completed, students were permitted to submit their work physically back to Mr. Huisken by dropping it off at the high school front desk, after hours through the business office night drop, or even by mailing it back to school. Yes, USPS type mail! Mr. Huisken received submissions from all 3 options. This assignment is also intended to inspire the students to know that their work is important and lasting, says Mr. Huisken, and that they are part of something bigger. Great job Ontario Christian High School Art Design students and Mr. Huisken for continuing to be Creative Learners as well as Collaborative Workers even during this unique time in history! We are so proud to call you Knights! #GrowingChristianLeaders #LetYourLightShine #TogetherWeAreKnights See more

As we begin a new week, we can’t help but remember all of the amazing work our God did in and through our students and staff at the OCHS You-Knighted 2019 retreat. Though we may not have been able to attend this year's retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, we know with confidence that He who began a good work in us is faithful to complete it. Hold onto that promise. Hold onto the laughter, hold onto the tears, hold onto the surrender that occurred on that mountain top duri...ng that warm August 2019 weekend. This school year may look different then what we ever could have imagined, but know that Jesus desires to take you places far greater than you can ever imagine. Look for those challenges and opportunities to grow in Christ, to be strengthened in Christ, and to be used by Christ. We love you OC students and community and can’t wait for the day that we are all back on campus worshipping arm and arm together again, crying out to our Heavenly Father in thanksgiving for all the work he did in the year 2020. "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Today we remember the lives lost, the lives given, and the lives affected by the horrific event on this day 19 years ago. May we find comfort and rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father and in turn point the lives around us to the source of all comfort and peace, Christ Jesus our Lord. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too." 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 #WeRemember #GrowingChristianLeaders #LetYourLightShine
