November starts a month of thankfulness and reflection, and looking back on when I started my PMU career one of my biggest driving forces was to be able to help women- to create or restore their sense of self confidence with the power of permanent makeup. I specifically wanted to help women who have had to walk through the fire of breast cancer, because they are warriors who deserve to feel beautiful in the most challenging time of their lives. It was an honor to get this ...sweet client in before she starts her journey battling breast cancer. No meds or treatment had begun, so we were safe to move forward with creating these lovely new brows for her, before she loses her own. I made sure to do #nanocombobrows for her since she had previous old faded microblading by another artist that needed coverup, and because we won’t be able to do her touchup before her treatment starts. I want her to get the most out of them until the time comes when she reaches back out telling me she’s kicked cancers ass and is ready for her second appointment. I eagerly look forward to that day. It’s been a rough year, friends, but let’s count our blessings and be thankful. I know I am for being able to be there for this woman and help her a little bit through this experience. Taking my client from #microblading to #nanobrows for her annual touchup! A year ago I only offered microblading, but as I continue to grow as an artist and add more services under my belt- I am SO glad I chose to learn machine work! Knowing what I know now, I understand that her skin is not the best candidate for microblading (oily, sensitive skin, occasional problematic areas- thanks hormones!) But now in good confidence give her the best technique that is right for her ...skin type, with crisper longer lasting results! And that makes me feel awesome.
