*Santa Monica, Ca Travel RN's* Role: RN OR Start: ASAP (Initial contract: 13 weeks (extensions likely) 5 openings available currently... Orthopedics (total joints hips and knees) Complex spine (fusions anterior, posterior; discectomies, foraminectomies, etc) Neuro (craniotomy open, endonasal approach) Cardiac is a plus 3 years OR experience required Strong ortho and spine exp required Complex total joint experience required 14 OR beds - fast-paced unit Equipment: Hana table and Profx used Heavy instrumentation - anterior and posterior First 13 weeks - no on-call on first contract Second contract - requires on-call rotation OR operating hours: 6:30am-11:00pm Head-to-toe assessments knowledge of normal vs abnormal findings & reporting of abnormal findings to Charge Nurse, M.D., if warranted Critical thinking to intervene with appropriate intervention for urgent/emergent care. Care of acute and chronically ill patients. Phlebotomy skills Basic understanding of cardiac monitoring equipment Knowledge of hemodynamics Identifying & managing life-sustaining physiologic functions in unstable patients.
