Our residents showed off their creativity while creating their Kentucky Derby hats last week! Afterward, residents enjoyed the Oakmont Gardens version of Mint Juleps with a variety of delicious derby food.
We celebrated our May birthdays last week with an afternoon celebration! *Our community is closely following and adhering to the latest CDC guidelines regarding Covid-19.
We're celebrating National Senior Health and Fitness Day by promoting the importance of regular physical activity! At MBK Senior Living communities, we believe it's important to make fitness accessible to all, and we do our best to modify and customize our classes and wellness opportunities so every resident feels, "there is an activity for ME!" Each of our communities offers wide-range of fitness activities and wellness instruction to keep residents fit, flexible and well.

It's National Wine Day! Drinking a glass of wine (specifically red wine) is filled with health benefits such as reducing inflammation, regulating the production of bad cholesterol, and possibly lowering the risk of stroke.
EVERY day should be EARTH day! Our residents and team members gathered plastic bags that were organized, flattened. and bundled together to be donated to Una Vida. Una Vida is a local non-profit that is committed to building community, inspiring change and helping community-members thrive. They inspire generosity, mobilize resources and distribute donations to community-members in Petaluma, California and our partner communities in the Dominican Republic. As a grassroots community organization, they partner with community leaders, public educators and fellow non-profits to identify those in need and connect them to resources that address their unique circumstances.
We had some very special visitors from the Humane Society last week in celebration of National Dog Rescue Day! Both our residents and team members immediately fell in love with our new furry friends. *Our community is closely following and adhering to the latest CDC guidelines regarding Covid-19.

At the end of every month, we celebrate ALL resident birthdays of the month. Our baker, Steve, created an amazing lemon rum cake with a caramel/mocha filling and chocolate frosting for our special residents in April!

Our residents are finally back in the "home sweet home" after nearly two weeks of being evacuated due the fires in Santa Rosa. We feel so grateful to be back n our community, providing a safe home to our seniors!
