We are pleased to show you the official promo video for the OverView Mobile Video System. Aside from the actual camera which can be specified at the customers preference, this is a Mechanical Concepts product through and through. We shipped our first two units late last year to one of the most prominent hospitals in the country with more units now in the works. When a customer has needs that can't be met by normal off the shelf purchasing, Mechanical Concepts takes great pride in the opportunity to provide exactly what they need.

Allow us a quick moment to shine the spotlight on one of our more impressive precision motion systems, aptly named, "Linear Motor Table". It boasts the same high standards for linear accuracy (<0.0005") and orthogonality (<9 arc seconds) as our standard XY's, but it also has shockingly impressive stats for acceleration (around 2 G's), speed (unknown since we've never reached top speed before running out of room), and encoder positional accuracy 0.1 m. Just for fun and refer...ence, a space shuttle during launch has a maximum acceleration of 3G's. And how small exactly is 0.1 m? A typical human hair can be anywhere between 17-181 m, and human red blood cell is around 6-8 m. You might be wondering why anybody would need a motion system that can perform to such a high level. The truth is, most don't. However we are proud to build several of these units a year for laser welding companies with large production runs. Say you wanted to do spot welds 1/4" apart as fast as possible. Accounting for acceleration and deceleration, our linear motor table would allow you to perform those welds 20 times per second with staggering accuracy.

I think everything Mike Rowe posts is funny, thought provoking or both. This seemed to be appropriate to share on this page because so much of what Carl Sagan commented about technology so many years ago has come to pass. Strongly suggest you read the piece Mike Rowe wrote and consider following him.

Quick-set adjustable position resistance weld head. We adapted our customer's existing equipment to create this manually adjustable resistance weld head. The electrodes can be spaced anywhere from 1/4" to 2" apart. Total turnaround time from the date the P.O. was issued to the date of delivery, approximately 1 week.

Out with the old, in with the new. Along with double the horsepower, this new addition to our CNC lineup significantly increases our working envelope (50"x26") allowing much larger components to be made in a single setup.
