Spent a good part of this summer thinking of how to celebrate not only my first poetry collection, but also Latinx/Chicanx/brown art (and yeah, soCal specific c...uz that's where a lot of the book takes place #pomonaproud.) If you don't know, I started out in art thru graffiti, so it's not big a surprise that I turned to visual artists to collaborate with/commission work in response to AN INCOMPLETE LIST OF NAMES (dropping Oct 6 from @beaconpress). Over the next few weeks leading up to the book release I'll be sharing what came of this project.
