A great day at the San Diego Zoo for our TK and Kinders who learned all about wildlife and enjoyed a special visit to meet the giraffes!

Our young French students recently took a field trip to learn about French cuisine and how to cook and bake delicious quiche and palmiers!

Our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders took a field trip to the Birch Aquarium to learn about the ocean's ecosystem and included a special sighting of a humpback whale breaching over the water's surface!

This week's assembly was hosted by Mr. Jones' Music classes and featured grade level performances on the xylophone, recorder and ukelele in the theme of "Rain, Rain, Rain."

The National French Contest/Le Grand Concours is an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Students of French in grades 1-12, in all 50 states and abroad, take a written test and compete against students with similar educational background for prizes. A Platinum winner is the highest award in the Le Grand Concours .... Congratulations to our very own Platinum winner, Varvara, who earned the top score IN THE NATION in her level/division. Congratulations to Wura, one of our 8th grade students. Wura was accepted to the prestigious Webb School in Claremont and has been awarded a sizable scholarship based on her achievement. We are so proud to have been a part of your journey, Wura! #oakhillca

Our TK-3rd Grade students went on a field trip to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad yesterday. We learned about reuse, reduce, recycle, bugs, composting while doing art, making music and doing hands on activities! #oakhillca
