There has been a lot of hype lately about plant-based diets. I recently was at the grocery store and happened to notice a girl, who I am confident thought she was doing the vegan thing right. She has plant based bacon, plant based sausage, plant based chick'n. She did not have ANY plants! No beautiful and delicious fruits or vegetables. Just a bunch of processed foods. People listen. Processed foods are still processed foods and should NOT be the central part of any... diet. We don't have to make it all so complicated. Eat more REAL FOODS. Foods that come straight from the earth, typically no package or food label is required. These are the foods were we meant to eat. And this is the basis of good health!

Now that the kids are back to school and in a regular routine, it's time to think about yourself. What area of your lifestyle could use a change? Instead of thinking about ALL of the things you need to change, just pick one single habit to work on this week. Sleep? Set a realistic bedtime for yourself and then stick to it! Nutrition? Make one meal be your focus for upgrading to a better option.... Water Intake? Take a water bottle with you and drink it. It's important to stay hydrated! Stress Management? Download a meditation app and plan 10 minutes a day this week to meditate. Tackling too many things at once sets us up for failure, but you can make one small change until it becomes a new habit. What will you focus on this week?
