A red car just went speeding past us over there!! Yesterday around 6pm, our dispatchers began fielding calls about an armed robbery taking place at the ARCO gas station at the corner of Alamo and Nut Tree. As officers rapidly descended upon the area, helpful citizens began providing specific information about a red Toyota they’d seen fleeing the area. Officers began to strategically position themselves at intersections around the area in an attempt to minimize avenues of es...cape. Ofc. Cuevas had positioned himself at the intersection of Alamo and Peabody and saw a car matching the suspect vehicle’s description pass by. Ofc. Cuevas was able to stop the vehicle a few blocks away and detained the driver, Isaiah Cole (23, Suisun) and Dean Young (23, Fairfield). Officers observed evidence linking them to recent robbery and placed both subjects under arrest. As investigators began to look into the case, they recalled a strangely similar case at the same location from August 2017. Upon further review and investigation, investigators were able to match distinctive case features and link both cases to Mr. Young. When officers searched the car, they located the firearm suspected of being used in the recent robbery as well as an illicit short-barreled assault rifle and loaded magazine. Mr. Cole and Mr. Young were placed under arrest on a variety of felony charges including robbery, being armed in the commission of a felony, conspiracy, the possession of an illegal assault weapon, outstanding warrants, and driving on a suspended license. Again, we simply cannot thank our amazing citizens enough for their care and willingness to get involved. Yesterday it was the difference that allowed us to make these arrests and close this case. Hi, I am the franchisee of this Arco ampm and presently out of country. From the way the robbery happened looked like is is done by same robbers that rob the store last year. I am very thankful to my great neighbourhood community and Vacaville police department for arresting these evil souls. As a appreciation I am offering anybody 32 oz cold drink, 20 oz coffee or slurpee any body visiting store by telling cashier 4safety. Again than you sooo much.
