Recent data shows that coronavirus can cause diffuse conjunctivitis or pink eye.

According to New York Times, British doctors have observed decreased smell and taste as characteristics of coronavirus infection even in the absence of more classic signs such as cough and fever.

3/22/2020 6PM As most of you are aware, Los Angeles is under "shelter in place" order. As such, although we are staying open for now, if any patient has routine physical scheduled, I strongly advise you to reschedule (we will also try to call you as well). If you have routine visit for a medical condition scheduled, I also encourage you to reschedule unless you have urgent questions/concerns or anticipate blood tests. For those patients, please consider coming in for office... visit. We are scheduling patients well apart from one another so that patients don't crowd the waiting room. Also, if you've been to the office, you know that the parking lot is right outside the front door. You're welcome to wait in your car if you prefer. Also, our office is usually a lot less crowded than a lab blood draw station if you need labs. If you have conditions such as diabetes, it is extremely important to make sure your disease is optimally controlled so that you do not get sick with the coronavirus/in the best shape in case you catch it. If you are acutely sick, please call for appointment. Do not walk in. If you try to drop in but don't have an appointment, we will ask you to call on the phone from the parking lot. If you have a runny nose or minor rash, stay home. But if you have kidney infection, ear infection, asthma exacerbation, uncontrolled hypertension, etc., don't wait to get those treated...you don't want to get them so bad that you have to go to the ER where many potential coronavirus patients are. I’ll be out of the office from 8/31/2019 to 9/4/2019. I’ll start seeing patients starting Thursday 9/5/2019. Staff will be in office taking phone calls Saturday and Tuesday. Wednesday is our regular day off. Have a safe Labor Day!
