When you’re on a 30-day production in the far reaches of Russian wilderness, you must pack light, fast and small. Oh, and you have to have a ton of patience and resilience for cold and especially for mosquitoes. Add the task of documenting an epic athletic feat. Now, keep a smile on your face. The only thing perhaps more impressive than the Sundrun Pillars was the journey itself. Getting to the rock formation involved the athletes and crew, including our very own Novus Director and Partner, Corey Rich (@coreyrichproductions) and Novus contributing DP, Dane Henry (@danehenrydigital), flying to Belaya Gora high up north in the Sakha Republic, from where they took a boat up the Indigirka river for roughly 200km. Upon exiting the boat, three days of punishing hiking through the tundra brought them to the rock pillars.
