For me, I look forward to expanding my organic herb & veggie garden this month and soon, will restart my backyard fermentation funclasses.... Why Tyrosine rich foods should matter to you! Tyrosine is an amino acid ( AA)involved that produces the neurotransmitter, dopamine. Dopamine is the brain chemical that allows you to think, build self efficacy, focus , pay attention to what really matters, builds perseverance and motivation.... How much Tyrosine do you need? Tyrosine is conditionally essential AA since it can be made by the body if a person consumes enough of the amino acid, phenylalanine. The recommended daily intake of phenylalanine and tyrosine is 11mg per pound. Assuming you gets half your requirement from each amino acid, you can then consume 5.5mg per pound. For example, I weigh 132lbs so I need at least 750 mg of tyrosine and phenylalanine a day or MORE to properly boost my dopamine stores Refer back to this chart to get how well you’re getting your baseline needs met. Tip: It’s a lot easier to get your needs met if you consume nutrient dense foods like grass finished beef, pastured poultry, and some hard aged cheese or kefir.
