**Notice to all Paradise customers with Tuesday Pickups** We will be able to service the remaining customers for Recycling on Thursday, 4/15. Thank you for your patience during this time. We do not envision any further delays after this week.

**Notice to all Paradise customers with Wednesday Pickups** Due to a staffing shortage from a medical issue, we are utilizing all assets to cover our routes this week. Unfortunately, not all of the yard waste was serviced today. We will be back at it tomorrow to complete the Wednesday yard waste route.

***Notice to all Paradise residents with trash service on Wednesday*** We are still continuing to work through this route. We projected to complete the pickups today, but fell a bit short. All residents with Wednesday trash service will be picked up by the end of day Friday. We appreciate everyone's patience as we continue to work through this route.

In honor of Presidents Day, Northern Recycling and Waste will be closing the office early today at 4pm. We will resume normal hours on Tuesday, 2-16-21 from 8am to 5pm.

***Snowfall Update*** Northern Recycling and Waste will be delaying today’s pickup (Wednesday) in certain parts of the County. Please see below for the following changes: Magalia: Wednesday pickup is now Thursday.... Magalia: Thursday pickup is now Friday. Stirling City: Wednesday pickup is now Friday. These temporary updates are subject to change depending on accessibility of each of our customers to service their containers safely. To all our customers, from Paradise to Stirling City, Northern Recycling and Waste would like to take this time to let everyone know we are monitoring the upcoming storms that will impact our service areas. Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the Northern Recycling and Waste Buy Back Center at 920 American Way will be closed until further notice. We were able to obtain funding in 2019 to help offset the costs of operating the Center but received notice that those funds are no longer available. Without these funds, Northern Recycling and Waste will be unable to provide this service going forward. NRWS has also experienced the recycling market upset related to the... China processing changes. The recycling industry has been paying to recycle materials that customarily produced revenues for sites like ours. Along with the current COVID pandemic, and the ripple effect of the Camp Fire, we were forced to make this difficult decision. ***Our Recycling Center is open, Fridays & Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. We are located at: 920 American Way on lower Clark Rd in Paradise. *** Tips on how to make your experience at NRWS Recycling Center better: Tip #1 Pre-sort all your materials. ... *Separate your aluminum cans from your plastics and your glass by color (green, brown, clear). By placing them in separate containers and/or bags, makes it easier when unloading them at our recycling center. *There is a 100 lb limit for aluminum and a 100 lb limit for plastic as well as anything over a $20 sale is paid by check. Tip #2 Come several times per year. *Do not let your recycling build up over the months. Come several times a year so your time at the recycling center is shorter and more frequent. Tip#3 Familiarize yourself with our recycling center. *Get to know the areas around the recycling center. This will help with your safety and the efficiency at our recycling center. Tip#4 Break down your cardboard boxes. *Break down all boxes until they are flat. This makes it easier when packing and unloading your vehicle.
